My name is Jennie Stoltz and, as you have most likely already figured out, I’m “of a certain age.”

I mentioned in my first post, I am not a medical professional, but when I post articles and links I will try to make sure that there is science to back them up.

I grew up in Iowa but moved to Wisconsin to go to college. (Side note, I ended up getting an MLIS as well and am a librarian by profession.)

I fell in love with Milwaukee. At the time it was like Goldilocks finding the baby bear’s porridge, chair, bed – everything was “just right” – the right amount of urban/suburban/rural, close enough to a really big city and O’Hare airport, and a relatively progressive history.

Of course a lot has changed in 30 years. Milwaukee has grown significantly both culturally and physically but Wisconsin no longer is the progressive bastion it once was. But I remain hopeful.

FORWARD.
